Every year has ups & downs. 2018 was pretty good overall. Everything turned out good and I really can’t complain.
Business wise, in 2017 I laid the groundwork for the major business changes that I made in 2018. And focusing on those changes was my main objective in the year. As I pour over the year-end numbers, I hit my goals to the tee. That’s an awesome feeling.
2019 will be more of the same, with some lofty, but completely feasible goals. Being self-employed is indeed hard work, but it’s extremely rewarding as well. And the changes I’ve made allowed me more flexible time, which was much needed.
For those wondering, the main change was switching from mainly consulting to mainly selling via e-commerce (like I did years ago). The media schedule side of things was reduced mid-year, but that’s still rolling and will be getting some tweaks in 2019 as well. This has allowed me to switch my schedule from being up until 2 am every morning coding to getting up at 5:30 am every day and often being in bed asleep by 10 pm. It’s amazing how much more productive you can be with proper rest.
Onward to 2019. Let’s roll!
