S&P 500 Opens Down 8%, Dow Down 9.7%, Trading Halted 15 Minutes, Third Time Since Last Week

S&P 500 stocks opened 8.14% down and triggered a “circuit breaker” for a 15-minute halt to trading. The difference this time? It happened right out of the gates.

The Dow opened down 9.71%.

For reference, the S&P 500 triggers at 7%, 13% then 20%.
