January 6, 2019 by Brian Groce Leave a Comment

In case you were wondering, T.Y. Hilton will not be wearing the clown mask next weekend. https://twitter.com/Colts/status/1081616455383371776 That's unfortunate, but it doesn't look that's the last he'll be seeing of it at home. https://twitter.com/TYHilton13/status/1081943057308794881 … [Read more...] about T.Y. We got the people outside and the next thing we seen, there's a heavy set gentleman running around naked, holding his privates in his hand, police were trying to tackle him." https://twitter.com/EmilyWTHR/status/1080580477113847812 Alrighty then. … [Read more...] about Naked Plainfield Man Arrested At Apartment Fire

Boone County Man Admits To Killing “Shadow Person”

The Musings of Brian Groce

This story from Fox 59 today isn't your typical crime story. The story starts with a man getting pulled over by the cops last week, and it gets interesting from there. While giving a urine sample, he confessed to killing a "shadow person that was a nice guy in the 2000s," and he felt bad about it. He said he shot the person with a 12-gauge shotgun. Test results showed he … [Read more...] about Boone County Man Admits To Killing “Shadow Person”

Historic Boone Tavern Hotel and Restaurant in Berea, Kentucky circa 1958

January 3, 2019 by Brian Groce Leave a Comment

As I mentioned yesterday, I like to purchase old photos and photo slides to both enjoy and resell. This particular 35mm slide of Boone Tavern Hotel and Restaurant in Berea, Kentucky was developed in September 1958 and I would assume was taken in the late spring or summer that year. As I look at this photo from 60+ years ago I am drawn to some of the details. 1958 Lincoln … [Read more...] about Historic Boone Tavern Hotel and Restaurant in Berea, Kentucky circa 1958

10 Things I Sold on eBay in December 2018

January 2, 2019 by Brian Groce Leave a Comment

People often ask me what I've been selling on eBay lately so I thought that it would be fun to do a post of the more interesting things I've sold on eBay in the past month. I've weeded out the boring items like t-shirts & tighty whities (new in package, of course) and came up with a list of my ten favorite sales from December. When I can remember when & where I bought … [Read more...] about 10 Things I Sold on eBay in December 2018

The Musings of Brian Groce

Every year has ups & downs. 2018 was pretty good overall. Everything turned out good and I really can't complain. Business wise, in 2017 I laid the groundwork for the major business changes that I made in 2018. And focusing on those changes was my main objective in the year. As I pour over the year-end numbers, I hit my goals to the tee. That's an awesome … [Read more...] about Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019

Professional Cornhole Is Here

December 31, 2018 by Brian Groce Leave a Comment

The Musings of Brian Groce

It's New Year's Eve and we've been watching college football all afternoon. As we're at a break in the action on one TV we spot a Cornhole Tournament being played on ESPN U. Wait, what? Professional cornhole is a thing now? Apparently, it is. If you were wondering, the American Cornhole League is the sanctioning body behind this (and that sounds weird to say). So check that … [Read more...] about Professional Cornhole Is Here
